Always happy to help out an experiment for the sake of science....

Scott Eric Kaufman, a graduate student planning to present a paper on blog memes at the Modern Language Association conference, wants to track how quickly memes spread across the internet. This is my contribution. Post yours as well on your blog.

Here's what you need to do:

1. Write a post linking to Scott's post in which you explain the experiment. (All blogs count, be they TypePad, Blogger, MySpace, Facebook, &c.)
2. Ask your readers to do the same. Beg them. Relate sob stories about poor graduate students in desperate circumstances. Imply Scott is one of them. (Do whatever you have to. If that fails, try whatever it takes.)
3. Ping Technorati.
